Kiera and Gordon’s December wedding at The Cow Shed Crail was everything I love about winter weddings. Outside, the weather was wild and dramatic, with strong winds rolling in from the coast. Inside, the barn was warm, full of laughter, music, and genuine emotion - the perfect contrast for a relaxed, heartfelt celebration.

Getting Ready and the Ceremony
The day began in St Andrews, with Kiera getting ready at the Fairmont Hotel, surrounded by her bridesmaids. The excitement built quietly through the morning, with emotional reactions and shared smiles as everyone caught their first glimpse of her in her dress.
Later, at The Cow Shed Crail, the ceremony took place inside the beautifully decorated barn. Festive Christmas trees added warmth and character, and the atmosphere was filled with emotion: heartfelt vows, happy tears, and joyful confetti marking the start of the celebrations. Every part of the day felt personal and true to Kiera and Gordon.

Despite the stormy winter weather, we made the most of the conditions for couple portraits. Wrapped up against the wind, Kiera and Gordon laughed their way through the outdoor photos, creating images full of movement and energy that reflected the day perfectly.
Back inside, the celebrations continued in a relaxed and joyful way. From quiet conversations to laughter-filled moments on the dance floor, the evening was full of genuine interactions - exactly the kind of moments I love to capture in a documentary, unobtrusive way.
